Alpha Airports appoints new chairman

In-flight caterer Alpha Airports has appointed Martin Flower as its new chairman.

He will take up the post on 11 December and replace Peter Williams, who is currently both chief executive and chairman. Williams remains as chief executive.

Flower, 60, is currently chairman of chemicals group Croda International and non-executive director of materials engineering company Morgan Crucible.

Williams said: "Martin has a first-class track record and extensive experience both at PLC board level and internationally."

Flower said: "Alpha is a leader in its field and is well-placed to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the fast-moving environment in which it operates."
