AiP wins contract with the Shrubbery school in Sutton Coldfield
Alliance in Partnership (AiP), has won a new one-year rolling contract within the independent education sector.
Worth £130,000 a year, the deal sees AiP provide independent First School, the Shrubbery in Sutton Coldfield, with its first on-site meals service.
The caterer mobilised the operation, including a brand new kitchen, over the summer holidays. The new facilities will prepare and serve hot meals each day, produced daily from fresh raw ingredients, locally and ethically sourced where possible.
The contract is a boost to AiP's growing market share in the independent sector - last year it won a £3m deal to provide catering services for five Coventry Foundation Independent schools.
AiP managing director David Weller said: "The Shrubbery is the longest established fully co-educational private school for three to 11-year-olds in the area.
"It's an exciting opportunity for AiP to introduce the service from scratch, allowing for the foundations to be implemented efficiently and effectively to launch in the new September term."
The school educates around 300 pupils aged three to 11 years. AiP will conduct taster sessions and pupil questionnaires prior to the introduction of menus to ensure the kitchen team is aware of any special dietary or ethnic diversity requirements.
