Acorn winner is Welsh Woman of the Year

Former Acorn winner Natalie Dobson has been named Welsh Woman of the Year by the Western Mail in recognition of her entrepreneurial skills.

Since moving to Wales five years ago Dobson has opened the Farthing restaurant, a tapas and cocktail bar, a delicatessen and most recently an events catering business, all in Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan. Before that she was director of the Eton group in London.

"We want to go down the events catering route, but the restaurant is the big thing for us at the moment, with 80 staff and about 3,000 meals a week," she said.
