2015 Product Excellence Awards winners announced

The Caterer has revealed the names of the 25 winners of its 2015 Product Excellence Awards.

Innovation, sustainability and energy saving in product development were all recognised at the awards, held last night at Dartmouth House in Mayfair, London.

The awards, which recognise excellence and innovation in food drink and equipment products within the hospitality sector, represent the very best examples of product development in the industry.

They also provide an opportunity for the suppliers and manufacturers behind these products to get together and celebrate their success; and with product sourcing vital to business success, the innovations recognised on the night are a real reflection of the rising expectations in the market and the fierce competition among operators.

The awards were presented by Lisa Jenkins, products and suppliers editor of The Caterer, and Oliver Cock, managing director, commercial, for Compass Group UK & Ireland.

Cock said: "We had a superb shortlist with some very deserving finalists listed.

"The winners represent some of the best food, drink and equipment products in our industry today."

The judging sessions took place over five days, with the winners decided by industry experts from across all sectors of hospitality. The judges tasted more than 150 products and debated nearly 100 pieces of equipment as they sought excellence in flavour, design and innovation.

Close to 120 suppliers, manufacturers and award judges were at the awards celebration to recognise the achievements of the winners.
