Blues Kitchen to launch in Manchester in early 2021

Columbo Group has announced that it will launch a new Blues Kitchen in Manchester in early 2021, its first site outside London.

Blues Kitchen will be located in a former Walkabout site and bring its Southern states-inspired restaurant, bar and 600-capacity late-night music spot to Manchester's Quay Street, near Deansgate.

The group, which has three other venues in Shoreditch, Brixton and Camden, is known for its Texan barbecue food and selection of rare and vintage bourbon.

Steve Ball, chief executive of the Columbo Group, which owns Blues Kitchen, said: "When we decided to spread our wings it had to be Manchester. It's such a cool city. It's the only other city we'd consider doing anything in."

Ball has said to expect food and drink menus influenced by the Deep South, live music from local and international musicians seven nights a week and DJs playing soul, funk, rock n' roll and roots music into the early hours every weekend.
