Aktar Islam to collaborate on English garden-themed bar and dining room in Birmingham

Chef Aktar Islam has teamed up with the team behind Birmingham's Craft Dining Rooms to launch a terrace and restaurant at the city's International Convention Centre.

The Craft English Garden will be launched in January 2020 and will be centred around a bar and dining pods.

The opening marks the beginning of a wider collaboration between Islam, who is behind Michelin-starred Opheem, Legna and Pulperia, all in Birmingham, and Sam and Emma Morgan, the owners of Craft Dining Rooms

The English Garden will serve traditional British dishes with a modern spin, specialising in afternoon tea. The bar offering will be centred around a selection of 32 British gins and wines from Devon, Sussex and Kent.

Interiors, led by Fifi Interior Design, will encompass a flora and fauna theme, with hanging planters, floral archways, a feature foliage wall and a selection of colourful succulents.
