Ability Group buys Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport for £24m

China-based CIMC Capital has sold the Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport for more than £24m to the Ability Group.

The hotel comprises 201 bedrooms, two meeting rooms, a gym, lounge area and food and beverage facilities. It is located adjacent to the airport's terminal and is the only branded hotel at Bristol International Airport. There is also the opportunity to expand the hotel to include an additional 50 rooms.

The Ability Group is a British property company founded in 1996 by Andreas Panayiotou. It owns 14 hotels across brands including Premier Inn, Park Inn by Radisson and Travelodge, Hilton and Crowne Plaza

Anuraag Badola, director of hotel investment properties at CBRE, said: "We are delighted to have advised CIMC on this transaction. This asset is a well-presented, modern hotel that benefits from both its association with Hilton Worldwide and its prime strategic location as the only hotel in Bristol Airport, an important transport hub for the city of Bristol and the South West region."
