Tender opportunity: The fit-out and operation of the Café in Crystal Palace Park

As part of a £2.4m scheme to improve Crystal Palace Park, London Borough of Bromley (LBB) is building a new two-storey café and informal visitor information facility with increased connectivity to the park landscape, the adjacent lake and the popular Crystal Palace Park dinosaurs.

LBB invites tenders for the fit-out and operation of the café for a 10-year lease. The successful operator will manage the new building and provide an excellent, high-quality café for park users. The new building includes a flexible first-floor space suitable for increased café seating, events private hire and community activity.

This unique opportunity also includes a licence to operate a mobile catering unit in the park, up until the completion of the café building in summer 2018. The licence for the mobile catering unit will commence in December 2017 for eight months. The 10-year café lease will commence in summer 2018.

Applications must be submitted via ProContract. Details on how to register are here: https://procontract.due-north.com/Register. For further information, please contact community.development@bromley.gov.uk.

The deadline for submissions is 12 noon on 5 October 2017.
