Wiltshire pub acquired through TV programme for sale

A Wiltshire pub that was acquired through Channel Four's Relocation Relocation programme in 2005 has been put on the market.

The Bell in Great Cheverell, near Devizes was bought in March 2005 by Gill Currie and her daughter Sara following a year-long search by the programme presenters.

Having boosted turnover (to annualised net sales of £245,000) and increased food sales to 60% of turnover, the mother-and-daughter team are now looking to run a B&B.

The Bell, which currently opens for limited hours, offers a lounge bar, restaurant and function room with a combined 180 seats. There is also three-bedroom owners' accommodation with private gardens.

The Oxford office of Davey & Co is seeking offers of £695,000 for the freehold.
