Southampton licensee scoops the Winning Post

A local licensee has bought the Winning Post community pub just one mile east of Southampton city centre in Hampshire.

The community pub is a wet-led business but has the facilities to develop a food trade. It attracts strong local trade, supporting darts and pools teams and screening Sky Sports.

The property comprises a main bar, lounge bar, patio and four-bedroom owners' accommodation.

It sold off an asking price of £55,000 for the remaining 26 years of the current lease.

The Winchester office of Christie + Co sold the property on behalf of Mark and Avril Rayner, who bought the pub in 2004.
