Somerset inn changes hands
The Sedgemoor Inn in Westonzoyland, Somerset, has been acquired by experienced licensed operators Steve Doherty and Shaun Pike.
The locals inn consists of a Grade II-listed mid-terrace property with a two-storey tenement building at the rear.
It offers seating for up to 100 diners across a public/sports bar and a non-smoking lounge bar. There is also a skittle alley and two-bedroom owners' apartment.
The new owners have bought two letting bedrooms back into use and have launched a new menu of home-cooked food that ranges from traditional English pub grub to OAP lunches six days a week.
They also intend to open a carvery dining area in a section of the skittle alley on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Stonesmith of Exeter sold the leasehold off an £80,000 guide price on behalf of Jamie and Susan Dorsett.
