Planet of the Grapes buys second London site

Planet of the Grapes has bought the leasehold to a ground floor unit in a bustling passageway off Leadenhall Market for its second London wine bar.

The former Wraps wine bar and sandwich bar at 9-10 Bulls Head Passage in East London comprises 580sq ft of space and can seat around 20 inside along with some pavement seating.

The new upmarket wine bar is more of a wine club and will thus be less dependent on passing trade than previous, more downmarket offers.

Services will include on-line ordering, on-line sommelier, private tastings, special order service, a wine clinic and the cellaring of wine collections for club members.

The wine bar will offer more than 450 wines (which will be on display with tasting notes) and wines by the glass. It will also cater for the off-sales market.

Property agent Intrinsic Property was seeking new-lease rental offers in the region of £48,000 per annum.
