New owners for Chagford's Globe Inn

The Globe Inn at Chagford in North Devon has been sold to experienced licensees Brian and Ann Kirtley.

The Grade II-listed property at the northern edge of Dartmoor National Park serves as a locals pub, hosting two darts teams and regular quiz nights.

The inn incorporates a 24-seat lounge bar, a 24-seat public bar and a breakfast/function room on the ground floor, with a cobbled courtyard outside.

Following a recent refurbishment, the property now offers three family en-suite letting rooms on the first floor, which also contains an office, meeting room and private games room.

The owners' accommodation on the second floor is split into two areas. One has a bedsitting room and en-suite and the second area provides a large bedsitting room, en-suite bathroom, lounge and galley kitchen.

There is also a separate cottage with three bedrooms, a bathroom, an open-plan kitchen/diner and a lounge.

Stonesmith of Exeter sold the lease off an asking price of £95,000 on behalf of the previous owner Andrew Kent.
