Freehouse for sale in the Yorkshire Dales

A traditional 18th century freehouse set in the tourist hotspot of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is up for sale.

George and the Dragon is a food-led inn that overlooks the Swale Valley from the North Yorkshire village of Hudswell, just two miles from the market town of Richmond.

The freehouse is a hub of the local community, hosting a number of clubs, societies and teams. It also draws trade from tourists, walkers and two nearby caravan parks.

It is made up of a main bar, lounge, games room, 26-seat restaurant and three-bedroom owners' accommodation.

The owner has also secured consent to convert stone outbuildings into six en-suite letting bedrooms.

Outside facilities include a car park and a large beer garden and terrace.

The Leeds office of Christie + Co is inviting offers in the region of £450,000 for the freehold.
