First-timer buyers for Sheffield freehouse with microbrewery

First-time buyers Helen and Andrew Walker have bought the Hillsborough hotel in Sheffield, a real ale freehouse with its own microbrewery.

The property, which is near the Sheffield Wednesday football stadium, has six en-suite bedrooms with a two-star ETB rating, a bar with eight hand pumps, a conservatory and a dining room.

The microbrewery on the ground floor brews ten different beers (including Hillsborough Pale Ale, Loxley Gold and Mappins Coronation beer) which it sells through 25 other pubs in the city as well as within the Hillsborough hotel.

Leeds-based property sales agent Davey & Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £395,000.
