Ex-pats buy the only pub in Hampshire village

Ex-patriates Paul and Mia Williamson have returned to England from France to run the only pub in the Hampshire village of Sherfield English.

The Hatchet Inn is a traditional family pub known for its cask ales and food (which accounts for 55% of turnover).

The detached character property lies on the busy A27 Romsey to Salisbury road.

The property also provides four-bedroomm owners' accommodation and a trade garden with a children's play area.

The Winchester office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold off a guide price of £179,950 on behalf of Ross and Vicky Bell.
