Enterprise Inns spends £1.6m on Billericay freehouse

National pub operator Enterprise Inns has bought the White Horse at Ramsden Heath in Essex for £1.6m.

The traditional destination freehouse is sited in the wealthy suburbs of Billericay.

Facilities included a 60-seat bar, a 150-seat restaurant-cum-function room, a large trade garden and children's play area, and parking for more than 60 cars.

Previous joint owner Alex Carroll plans to retire from the business while Tony Galley will focus on his other pub, the Bell Inn at Woodham Ferriers.

The sale was handled by Mayfair, London-based Intrinsic Property, which last month merged with the Business Sales Group.
