Park Chinois to open all-day brasserie next month

Luxury Mayfair Chinese restaurant Park Chinois in London is opening an all-day brasserie, Moncks of Dover Street, next month.

The 92-cover venue will launch on 3 July at the rear of Park Chinois with an entrance on the parallel Dover Street.

The inspiration behind the name comes from Christopher Moncks, who owned the Clarendon House estate in the 16th century, which included Dover Street, Albemarle Street and Bond Street.

The menu will offer dishes such as truffled Benedict (artichoke and black truffle, poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce on an English muffin) or the full vegan for breakfast, and lunch items such as Caesar salad with roast chicken and sole meunière with toasted almonds.

Dinner dishes will include pan-fried monkfish with seafood jus, seasonal vegetables and gremolata or roasted baby leg of lamb with spiced couscous, sautéed shallots, apricots and pomegranates.

The restaurant has been designed by Fettle and the kitchen will be overseen by executive chef Gennaro Vitto, Valentino Pepe who joins as head chef having previously been a pastry chef at Park Chinois, and Michael Keane will oversee the site as general manager.
