Travelodge planning 17 further openings in 2019

Travelodge is planning 17 hotel further openings this year in locations including Chippenham, Glasgow and Marlow.

The next wave of its expansion programme will be developed by third-party investment amounting to around £115m and will grow the budget hotel firm's business to 595 locations in the UK, Spain and Ireland.

As part of the programme, Travelodge will continue the roll-out of its Travelodge Plus concept, with its seventh property, a new build regional hotel at Marlow-on-Thames, to go alongside its city centre hotels in Edinburgh, York, London and Brighton.

The Travelodge Plus concept is described as a ‘budget chic' format aimed at the budget traveller who wants that appreciates a little more style.

The 17 Travelodge hotels expected to open in 2019 are:
