Mollie's Motel & Diner
Soho House & Co has opened the first of what is expected to become a nationwide group of 1950s American-inspired budget motels, on the A420 at Buckland, Oxfordshire.
The 79 bedrooms, which include interconnected family and bunk rooms, have been created by the in-house Soho House design team and feature kingsize beds, Egyptian cotton sheets and rainforest showers, as well as Cowshed shampoo, conditioner, handwash and moisturiser.
A general store serves free tea and filter coffee to guests and offers a space to work or relax as well as access to WiFi and charging points.
Mollie's Diner serves American classics, including an all-day breakfast, avocado on toast, smoked salmon baps, waffles and healthy grain bowls. At lunch and dinner the menu ranges from cheesy nachos to corn on the cob, prawn cocktail, rotisserie chicken and mac and cheese, as well as a range of vegetarian dishes, including the ‘filthy burger', featuring a beetroot bun.
Further sites have been earmarked for city centre locations in Manchester and Bristol.

The four-AA-star Burley Manor in the New Forest in Hampshire has opened a new meetings and event space, Deer Park Barn, to host large-scale events such as conferences and overnight corporate stays, complementing its adjoining Barn event space. The two spaces can also be hired together.

Clayton Hotel City of London
Dalata Hotel Group, the largest hotel group in Ireland, has opened its latest Clayton-branded hotel in the City of London, its eighth in the UK and third in the capital, joining hotels in Chiswick and Cricklewood. The hotel has a Grill restaurant, a bar and an onsite fitness suite.

The Edinburgh Grand apartment complex has opened an art deco-inspired bar, Lady Libertine. It is the second venue operated by the Bon Vivant Group at the property, joining the Register Club cocktail bar. The bar features live music and serves a menu with Persian, North African and Mediterranean influences.
