Tart London to open restaurant in London's Eccleston Yards development
Tart London, a catering company specialising in providing food for fashion shoots, is to open a restaurant within a multi-purpose venue close to London's Victoria Station.
Eccleston Place by Tart London will be launched alongside a retail outlet, fashion photography studio and events space in the summer by Jemima Jones and Lucy Carr-Ellison, the founders of Tart London. The duo, who are also food columnists for London's Evening Standard Magazine, will be working in partnership with Tom Warren of Lock Studios, a photography and events space in Hoxton.
Located in a former power station and coal store, the all-day restaurant will focus on Tart's signature style, mixing healthy and decadent options of seasonal dining. The site will feature the original arched roof structure and skylights of the 19th-century building, which is situated within the new 80,000 sq ft Eccleston Yards development of shops, restaurants and co-working spaces by Grosvenor Britain & Ireland
Jones and Carr-Ellison, who have worked with Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Cara Delevingne, said: "It's always been our dream to open a permanent site, and we couldn't have thought of a better place than nestled in historic Eccleston Yard.
"This is more than a restaurant, we want to create that sense of warmth and home in busy central London with a light space that marries food, fashion, lifestyle and photography, ‘the photographer's kitchen'."
Warren added: "I'm thrilled to be involved in this exciting concept with Tart London. It's a unique opportunity to create a brand-new studio space bang at the heart of central London that's close to a range of leading fashion houses. It's also going to be one of the most amazing centrally located events spaces in London, with a capacity of 350 people seated."
Eccleston Yards is described by Joanna Lea, retail director of Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, "a new destination that showcases and champions creative, independent talent".
Colliers International's central London restaurant team acted on behalf of the landlord Grosvenor.
