White Brasserie Company acquires Oxshott pub

The White Brasserie Company is to open a new site in Oxshott, Surrey, after it bought the Victoria pub in the village.

Run by director Mark Derry, the White Brasserie Company is the pub/restaurant brand of Brasserie Bar Co.

Among the other directors of the firm is Raymond Blanc who oversees the menu of the brand, in partnership with executive chef Clive Fretwell. They also oversee the menus at White Brasserie Company's sister brand, Brasserie Blanc.

There are currently nine White Brasserie Company pubs and 18 Brasserie Blancs.

The Victoria in Oxshott was sold in an off-market deal through property agent Fleurets. The same tenant has been in occupation of the site since 1977 and the pub was once frequented by snooker player Jimmy White, and more recently by a number of Chelsea football players who live locally.

James Davies of Fleurets said: "Having been in occupation for approaching 40 years, our client wanted the sale handled in a discreet and delicate manner out of respect to their loyal customers and staff.

It is the only pub in the village located in a prominent central position directly in front of the Crown Estate, the area's most highly regarded private housing estate. White Brasserie Company intend to carry out a complete redevelopment in the spring and expect to be open as soon as possible in the summer of 2016."
