University of Leeds names new e-commerce co-ordinator
The University of Leeds has appointed a new e-commerce co-ordinator for their residential and commercial services (RCS) team.
Matt Hamnett, who joins from the University of Manchester, will oversee the website offering and e-communication of the RCS department.
Commenting on his new role, Hamnett said: "It's an exciting time to join the team and indeed the University. There is a great deal of investment being made across campus to ensure that it remains a top academic and conference venue."
Hamnett joins from the University of Manchester and he has worked in e-commerce for the past eight years.
His work has been responsible for boosting traffic and visitor numbers to Manchester Conference Centre, which saw a 200% uplift in visitors shortly after he launched a new website.
Richard Handscombe, head of sales and marketing for the RCS team said of the appointment: "I've worked with Matt for several years and am delighted that he has joined us here in Leeds to facilitate a step change in our e-marketing.
"His experience is second to none and I am confident he will have a positive impact."
