The Restaurant Group adds new Blubeckers site to portfolio
The Restaurant Group (TRG) has purchased a lease on the Leather Bottle pub in Hampshire with the intention of turning the site into its 18th Blubeckers restaurant.
The Leather Bottle was sold for an asking price of £285,000 for the leasehold interest. There are 15 years remaining on the lease with an annual rent of £57,000.
It will be the second site in Hampshire for the food and family-led restaurant chain as TRG works to establish the brand throughout the Home Counties.
TRG is aiming to open 30 to 35 new restaurants this year. Other brands include Frankie & Benny's, Garfunkels and Chiquito.
Five new Blubeckers opened in 2006 with five to 10 new restaurants expected in 2007.
