Stonegate to re-open former Bramwell pub in Sheffield

Stonegate is to re-open the Bessemer pub in Sheffield following a £300,000 refurbishment.

The pub, known for its popular motown and soul party nights, was acquired by Stonegate Pub Company from the administrators of previous owner, Bramwell Pub Company in November.

It is one of the first of the 78 pubs the administrators of Bramwell sold to Stonegate in November last year to have been refurbished.

"The pub is being totally re-designed with new décor and furniture throughout, as well as a bigger dancefloor to accommodate our fantastic party nights", said general manager Andrew Baker.

The first floor mezzanine area which can accommodate up to 100 people, gives a bird's eye view of the entire pub, making it an ideal private hire area, suitable for parties, receptions or business functions.

Open daily from 10am serving breakfasts, The Bessemer will introduce a brand new menu when it launches featuring traditional pub classics alongside dishes that give a contemporary twist such as roast beef Yorkshire wraps.

The pub will open its doors from 5pm on Wednesday 26 March.
