St Monica Trust awarded highest Hospitality Assured score

The St Monica Trust charity has been crowned ‘best in healthcare sector' following its annual Hospitality Assured assessment.

The charity, which operates four retirement communities across Bristol and Somerset, received a high score of 83.7% - retaining its Hospitality Assured Premier status for the ninth consecutive year.

This was credited to a series of "changes, improvements and enhancements that have been achieved" since last year, including a plan to develop the new facility at Keynsham, the Chocolate Quarter.

During the assessment, which took place over two days and involved a review of the Trust's operations in facilities, marketing, communications and human resources, Hospitality Assured assessors also noted an achievement in "high levels of excellence in all that the organisation attempts to do, but in particular in customer service and resident care".

St Monica Trust's Director of Facilities, Ian Joyner, said: "To be recognised as a leader in customer service within the UK Healthcare sector is an achievement that everyone involved with the Trust can be proud of.

"Our commitment to excellence at all levels of the organisation has been a long-term investment. We expect to see even greater improvements in our customer offering with the opening of our newest retirement community, The Chocolate Quarter in summer 2017."

Created by the Institute of Hospitality, Hospitality Assured is the quality standard set specifically for customer facing businesses.
