VIRGINIA MASSER is the new resident manager of the Royal Garden hotel in London. She was general manager of Durley House hotel in London.

CHRIS CROWLEY is the new UK corporate sales manager for Sofitel Demeure hotels. He was business development manager for Grange Hotels.

ZOE HODNETT has been appointed area sales manager for Marriott's Worsley Park hotel in Worsley, Manchester. She was area sales manager at Marriott's Forest of Arden hotel in Coventry, West Midlands.

MATTHEW HOLGATE has been appointed operations manager of London soup bar Soup Opera. He was previously operations manager for Costa Coffee.

MARTIN KEMP is now director of conferences, restaurants and bars at Posthouse hotels. He was regional manager of Posthouse hotels in London.

ANDY JOHNS has become head chef of the Petersham hotel in Richmond, Surrey. He was a freelance chef consultant.

GUY HILTON has been appointed general manager of the Howard Johnson hotel in West Bromwich, Birmingham. He was general manager of the Lion hotel in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

HENRIK MUEHLE has left the Hotel Horizon in St Brelades Bay, Jersey, where he was operations manager, to become deputy general manager of Tylney Hall hotel in Rotherwick, Hampshire.

STEVEN TOMPSETT has been promoted to head chef at Taplow House hotel, near Maidenhead in Berkshire. He was sous chef.

VINCENTE HERVAS has joined the Grand hotel in Brighton as manager of its King's restaurant. He was assistant restaurant manager at Gleneagles hotel in Auchterarder, Perthshire.

ALA OSMOND has been promoted by RF Hotels from her post as sales executive for the Balmoral hotel, Edinburgh, to London sales director.

MURRAY THOMSON has also been promoted by RF Hotels from UK and international sales manager to the post of director of sales and marketing at the Balmoral hotel.
