Pelirocco to be sold off

Brighton's Hotel Pelirocco is up for sale, with a £2.35m price tag.

Owners Jane Slater and Michael Robinson said they had decided to put the 19-bedroom rock ‘n' roll-themed hotel on the market because they wanted the Pelirocco name to be expanded.

"We're looking for a buyer who will not only buy the bricks and mortar but will develop Pelirocco into the brand it deserves to be," said Slater. "We believe the ideal buyer would be a hotel company that is looking to break into the cool boutique/townhouse sector."

Since opening four years ago, Hotel Pelirocco has attracted national and international media attention for its quirky bedrooms themed around pop sub-culture, including a boxing ring room inspired by Muhammad Ali, and a boudoir dedicated to 1950s bombshell Bettie Page.

The price tag includes the freehold, business and brand name. The sale of the hotel is being handled by financial services company Tenon Group.
