Patrick O'Connor

Patrick Joseph O'Connor, chef for 42 years at London's Caledonian Club, died last month at the age of 63, after a heart attack.

Born in Killorglan, County Kerry, in 1935, O'Connor worked in the Great Southern hotel in Killarney and in Dublin's Gresham hotel before moving to London in the 1950s. He joined the Caledonian Club in1956, following stints at J Lyons in Coventry Street and the Old Bell at Holborn.
