Jongleurs

Regent Inns opens a Jongleurs comedy club in Manchester tomorrow (4 May) following the £2.5m refurbishment of a building in Chorlton Street.

Manor from Mas

A cocktail bar and restaurant called Manor opens today (3 May) on the former site of the Mas Café in Notting Hill, London.

Wetherspoon's 100

JD Wetherspoon plans to open its 100th pub in Greater London on 25 July in the O2 shopping centre on Finchley Road.

La Tasca in Windsor

La Tasca, the Spanish tapas bar and restaurant chain, opened a branch on the ground floor of Windsor railway station last Thursday (26 April).

A Bar 2 Far

Ascot Inns, which runs six Irish-themed pubs in London, Old Windsor in Berkshire and Hayes in Middlesex, opened A Bar 2 Far on 14 April in Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey. The café-bar is decorated with photos of bars from around the world. Building work on a second A Bar 2 Far in Tooting, south London, began last week (April).

Shafique opening

Shafique Bengal Blues, a jazz-themed café-brasserie opened in Brick Lane, east London on 23 April. Chef and owner Shafique Ali was the chef of the year in the Bangladeshi British curry awards 2000.
