Guy Ritchie sells the Punch Bowl to Cirrus Inns

Guy Ritchie has sold the Punch Bowl pub in London's Mayfair to Cirrus Inns.

The film director and his business partner Piers Adam are reported to have sold the 300 year old pub to Alex Langlands Pearse's investment vehicle Cirrus Inns.

Ritchie bought the Punch Bowl in February 2008 for a reported £2.5m when he was married to Madonna. He kept the pub as part of their divorce settlement later that year.

London's Evening Standard reported that the pub was investigated for charging tourists more than regulars in August 2008, but it was cleared of the charges.
