Ground coffee for hotel rooms

A pioneering free-on-loan filter coffee scheme called Coffee2 targets hotel bedrooms, providing guests with a roast and ground coffee service. Products provided to hoteliers to offer with the small self-service pour-and-serve brewers are packaged in exclusive 4-cup immersible bags for ease of handling by customers and staff. An optional timer enables guests to awake to the aroma of fresh-made coffee and the sound of the coffee brewer.

A choice of traditional and decaffeinated blends is offered. There is also a full range of supporting items such as sugar, Whittard's tea, semi-skimmed milk and low-calorie sweetener. No capital outlay is required from the hotelier.

A free trial is available to Catering Update readers wanting to take a closer look at the concept. The service has been developed by Britannia Catering, a leading provider of breakfast and lunch-to-go products.
