Foolproof Thai Cookery – Ken Hom
- !
American-Chinese cook and food writer Ken Hom's new book hits the shops this month. Its publication is timed to coincide with the rebranding of the Yellow River Caf‚ in London's Canary Wharf (which Hom was instrumental in launching) as Sri Nam, which means "royal water" in Thai, and a forthcoming television series. Aimed primarily at the home cook but with 17 introductory pages on ingredients and equipment, the book is nevertheless a useful introduction to modern Thai cuisine for student and working chefs alike.
