Essenden selling Rileys snooker and pool halls

UK leisure firm Essenden is selling five existing and former Rileys snooker and pool halls.

The sites are being marketed by Coffer Corporate Leisure to investment and development buyers, and are located across the UK in Grays, Lewisham (pictured), Peterborough, Reading and Sheffield.

All the sites have central town or city centre locations and the potential for significant residential or commercial development. Two of the sites already have planning permission for a total of 94 residential apartments and houses.

Essenden, which operates 38 ten-pin bowling centres across the UK, has already sold one of its former Riley's investment properties at Leigh for £1m in 2009. The sites were acquired by Essenden in 2008.

Lawrence Telford, of Coffer Corporate Leisure, said: "The sites are in excellent locations and offer fantastic opportunities for residential and/or commercial development, with the majority also offering short- to medium-term rental income from Rileys."
