Entries open for WCI-Savoy scholarships

The Worshipful Company of Innholders and the Savoy Educational Trust are seeking candidates for their 2005 joint management scholarships.

Candidates for the scholarships should be managers working in the independent hotel sector, who have a sound understanding of the industry and the aptitude and motivation to reach senior status.

They are likely to have had a formal education and will probably hold a degree in hospitality management, although managers who have attained their position through craft qualifications are not excluded.

Courses available to successful scholarship students include a business leaders programme at Cranfield University School of Management in the UK; a general managers programme at Cornell University in the USA; and a residential hospitality management summer programme at the Ecole HoteliŠre de Lausanne in Switzerland.
