Enterprise Inns sells Sunderland pub Oddies
Enterprise Inns has sold Oddies pub in Sunderland to Tony and Jacqueline Ganley off an asking price of £150,000 for the freehold.
The couple secured funding for the purchase from Enterprise Inns through commercial mortgage broker Christie Finance, the sister business to property adviser Christie + Co.
Paul Ryan of Christie Finance commented: "Tony Ganley had approached his existing bank and was disappointed that they weren't able to understand the great opportunity this pub represented to him and his wife.
"We met, and it was obvious that with their local knowledge and trade experience the Ganleys would make a success of this venture.
"Christie Finance was able to secure a good offer at a competitive rate with a high street lender, despite the funding being for a first-time buyer of a wet-led public house, for which there was a lack of trading information due to it being a corporate disposal (Enterprise Inns).
"We're delighted to have helped the Ganleys fulfil their dream of owning Oddies and we wish them the best of luck for the future."
