Eclectic plans Liverpool site after positive trading
Bar operator Eclectic has indicated that results for its first year's full trading will be in line with expectations, as it announced plans for a new site in Liverpool.
It said that trading for the 12 months to June 2014 was as expected. It will post its full results on 30 September 2014.
During the period it launched its two most successful sites - Dirty Blonde in Brighton and Lola Lo in Derby. It also opened the Lowlander Grand Café bar and brasserie in Covent Garden. The openings bring the number of venues trading to 21.
Eclectic said it had agreed to sign a lease on a site in Liverpool, with plans to open it as a Lola Lo in June 2015. It has also extended its lease on Embargo on London's Kings Road to 2033.
The bar operator has made Leigh Nicholson executive director and chief operating officer. Nicholson joined the group in 2006 as area manager for the London area and was appointed operations director for Eclectic in 2010.
