Cotswolds pub company Blenheim Inns puts last of pubs up for sale
Independent pub group, Blenheim Inns, has announced the sale of its last pub in the Cotswolds.
The Royal Oak Inn, in Painswick, Gloucestershire, has been put on the market by property agents Christie & Co, with the leasehold priced at £89,000.
Blenheim Inn's The Falcon Inn, the Butcher's Arms and the Sun Inn, all period properties, were sold individually in the summer on behalf of owners Hilary and Johnny Johnson, who are retiring from the trade.
Painswick's the Falcon Inn went to a family group and The Sun Inn, near Swindon, was sold to manageress, Carys Cornell.
The Butcher's Arms in Sheepscombe went to Stuart Hawthorne who plans to build a pub group, Heartstone Inns.
The Royal Oak is being held on the remainder of a 20-year Whitbread Pub Partnership lease at an annual rent of £30,000 per annum.
