Chef coach wanted for African project

Trade Aid, a charity that carries out ecological tourism projects, is looking for a non-smoking chef to coach staff at a hotel in Mikindani on the coast of Tanzania.

As part of a project to generate jobs, Trade Aid and the Tanzanian government have converted the Old Boma, a 100-year-old fort, into a six-bedroom hotel with a conference room, restaurant, bar and swimming pool. It has been open almost a year and employs six full-time catering staff.

Trade Aid's project administrator, Sherie Williams Ellen, said: "We're looking for a keen volunteer to mentor the staff - someone who will get satisfaction out of the experience."

The position, available immediately, lasts from four to eight weeks. It is unpaid, but travel and accommodation expenses will be met.

Interested chefs should call Williams Ellen on 01425 657774.
