Carling helps pubs with two million free pints

Brewer Molson Coors is urging the public to support their local by sending out vouchers for a free pint of Carling to two million households.

The direct mail will take the form of a personalised invite from their local landlord inviting them to sample a pint of the beer.

Carling said it had taken action in a bid to help stem the rate of pub closures - currently running at six a day.

Special point-of-sale packs have also been sent out to all outlets participating in the promotion, which will run until 21 June.
