Wendy’s to open trio of sites in the next two months

US burger brand Wendy’s will open two restaurants in April in Lincoln and Wisbech, with a third opening in Colchester in May.

The Colchester restaurant will be the brand’s second drive-thru location in the UK, at the Northern Gateway, off Junction 28 of the A12.

The Lincoln site will open at 195 High Street, while the new Wisbech venue will be located at Horsefair Shopping Center.

The brand aims to have 45 sites operating in the UK by the end of this year.

Wendy's returned to the UK in 2021 after a 20-year break and is aiming to use the country as a base to expand into Ireland and Spain. There are 29 sites across the UK, including 13 brick-and-mortar restaurants.

Wendy's was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1969 and now operates more than 6,800 restaurants worldwide.
