The Westbury completes year-long, multimillion-pound renovation

The Westbury hotel in London has completed a multimillion-pound renovation of its 225 bedrooms.

The five-AA-star Mayfair hotel, part of Marriott's Luxury Collection, has seen a full refurbishment of all guest bedrooms, corridors and lift lobbies by Alex Kravetz Design, and increased its number of suites to 64.

The hotel, which opened in 1955 and joined the Luxury Collection in April, has been designed with luxury and Eastern culture in mind, combined with original Art Deco look. Dark wood and Italian marble are juxtaposed against accents of purple and grey, with custom made furniture creating a "cosy but chic residential feel".

The signature Luxury Collection bed can be found in each room complete with Asprey toiletries, a work desk and Handy smartphones.

On top of this, 44 new suites have been added to the hotel's inventory, including the Berkeley and Hanover Terrace suites, offering large outdoor terraces with 80sqm of inside space. The hotel's Presidential suite has also been refreshed.

The Westbury, owned by Cola Holdings, houses the Michelin-starred Alyn Williams at the Westbury restaurant, and is one of four Luxury Collection hotels in the UK, including Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire, the Park Tower Knightsbridge and the Wellesley Knightsbridge in London.
