The Temper restaurant group is back on the expansion trail and will open its fifth London site next month.
It has taken a site in a high-rise building in Paddington Basin, its first location outside of central London, which will open on 6 December.
The 120-cover restaurant will feature a 70-cover outdoor terrace and retain the brand’s focus on cooking meat over fire. Dishes are set to include beef-fat cornbread; aged beef nachos; and a range of cuts of steak with sauces including Korean Barbecue and Bourbon Pepper.
“To be opening in such an iconic and busy location [in Paddington] marks a real milestone in our expansion process, and I’m excited to continue this journey,” said founder Sam Lee de Lagonell.
Temper was founded in London’s Soho by Lee de Lagonell in 2016 and opened restaurants in the City in 2017 and Covent Garden in 2018 in partnership with chef Neil Rankin, who has since left the business.
A fourth restaurant opened in Shoreditch last year and was the group’s first new venture in four years.
