Steven Laine has been appointed hotel manager of the Landmark London in Marylebone.
He will be responsible for the 300-bedroom property's refurbishment programme, which includes the development of three F&B outlets: the Winter Garden restaurant, the Champagne Bar on the Garden Terrace, and the Great Central Pub by Matt Fletcher.
Laine has been in the industry for 23 years, having worked internationally in venues such as the Ritz London, Madinat Jumeirah Dubai, Pan Pacific Singapore Hotel and JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
Most recently, he was executive assistant manager at Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club, where he was responsible for the pre-opening of the venue’s F&B offering.
Laine, who is a member of the Académie du Champagne, is also working towards a WSET Diploma. He is an accredited wine scholar in Spanish, Italian, French and Canadian wines.
He said: “The planned developments across F&B are exciting and I have no doubt this will attract a wealth of talent to work at The Landmark London – a world leading establishment.”
Fergus Stewart, general manager at the Landmark London, added: “I am delighted Steven has joined the team and I know he will bring his wealth of experience to manage the property, alongside myself, to maintain the standards of our magnificent five-star Grande Dame hotel.”
