Lindsey and Richard Johns are closing Rascills restaurant in North Yorkshire to pursue an "exciting opportunity".
The couple opened the 24-cover restaurant near Raskelf in November 2016 on the site of the former Purple Partridge, with Richard in the kitchen and Lindsey overseeing front of house.
However, the husband-and-wife team announced on Twitter the restaurant will be closing at the end of the year or early January.
They tweeted that the business had "naturally run its course" and they had decided to pursue an "exciting" new opportunity after coming to the end of their two-year lease recently.
The restaurant was recognised in both The Good Food Guide and the Michelin guide within its first year, offering a seasonal menu using local suppliers. The Johns previously ran Artisan restaurant in Hessle, East Yorkshire, for nine years.
