Nick Nairn to hold recruitment days to encourage young people into hospitality

Scottish chef and restaurateur Nick Nairn is rallying for more young people to consider a career in catering.

Nairn has announced two recruitment days in a bid to capitalise on the increased interest in food and home-cooking over the past few years to flush out new talent.

Nick runs the Kailyard restaurant at Dunblane Hydro Hilton hotel, as well as two cook schools: one in Aberdeen and one at the Port of Menteith in the Trossachs.

The first recruitment day will be held on 27 May at the Nick Nairn Cook School in Aberdeen, with a second session to follow on 10 June at the Kailyard in Dunblane.

A passionate advocate for the hospitality industry, Nairn is involved in the Menteith Group, which he set up in 2012 to look at school meals, food education and food culture. The group is made up of chefs, farmers, meal providers & campaigners, keen to improve things for the next generation.
