Foodservice firm Mount Charles has won a multimillion-pound contract with airline Flybe.
The five-year deal, the exact value of which has not been disclosed, will see Mount Charles supply a combination of facilities management and catering services to the airline's Exeter-based training academy and New Walker Hangar.
Mount Charles will be responsible for the daily operations of the Flybe training academy, which includes event management and hospitality, as well as for cleaning and on-site technical services.
It has also opened two new food and beverage outlets for Flybe at both its New Walker Hangar headquarters as well as the Sky Café at the airline's training academy.
Trevor Annon, chairman at Mount Charles said: "This is an incredibly exciting partnership for us and one we are very much looking forward to developing.
"For the last six years, Mount Charles has firmly established itself as the exclusive food and beverage partner for Exeter Airport, with our Fed & Watered catering outlet and I am delighted that we are continuing to expand here."
Vincent Hodder, Flybe's chief strategy officer, said: "We are pleased to welcome Mount Charles on board to manage the conference facilities at our Training Academy. The new cafeteria services have been particularly well received by all who have visited them to date. Both the new ‘Sky Café' and ‘Hub at the Hangar' areas have created the much-needed informal meeting and contemporary eating space for staff and visitors alike offering high quality, healthy food prepared freshly on site."
