Latest openings: Stem, Hotel du Vin Stratford, Alpes and more

All the restaurant and hotel openings from this week's issue

Stem
Mark Jarvis has launched his third London restaurant, Stem, just off London's Regent Street. Jarvis opened Anglo, his first venture, in 2016, followed by Neo Bistro in June 2017. Stem is owned by the Crown Estate and is part of a significant regeneration project to increase both restaurant and retail presence in the Regent Street area.

The menus, created by Catey 2017 Newcomer Award winner Jarvis and Sam Ashton-Booth (formerly head chef of Anglo), showcase modern, seasonal British dishes.

Bright and spacious, Stem's interior design features granite table tops and aubergine leather banquettes. On the lower ground floor is a six-seat private chef's table, with black tiling and low-level lighting, where guests will be offered bespoke tasting menus. The wine list comprises approximately 65 bins.
