Independents by Sodexo has retained its contracts with five independent schools across the UK.
The contract extensions are with St Paul’s Cathedral School, London; Lady Eleanor Holles School, Middlesex; Magdalen College School, Oxford; Altrincham Grammar School for boys in Cheshire; and George Watson’s College, Edinburgh.
Sodexo is responsible for the delivery of food services at the schools and will introduce its Powering Performance programme, developed in collaboration with the British Nutrition Foundation, which aims to help young people to make informed decisions about their food.
George Watson’s College will not be participating in this scheme, but Sodexo will continue to provide cleaning services at the school, as it has done for the past 33 years.
At Altrincham Grammar School, Sodexo will be providing breakfast, break, and lunchtime meals, as well as managing the sixth form café, tuck shop, vending machines and ‘grab and go’ stations.
Magdalen College School will also become one of Sodexo’s longest independent school clients, as the extension brings the partnership to 45 years.
Steve Hawkins, managing director for schools, Sodexo UK & Ireland, said: “Our Independents by Sodexo team has long-standing partnerships with many prestigious schools, and we are thrilled that this year we have seen so many of them decide to continue to partner with us.
“These five schools are all committed to having a positive impact on society and the environment, a commitment shared by Sodexo. It is our aim to provide food that will sharpen minds, energise the body and make children of all ages smile, whilst being kind to the planet and minimising waste.”
