Flat Cap Hotels unveils third property in Prestbury

Cheshire-based hotel group Flat Cap Hotels has unveiled its third property, the Bridge in Prestbury, following the completion of its first phase of refurbishment.

The 23-bedroom hotel joins the group's portfolio which also includes the Vicarage in Holmes Chapel and the Courthouse in Knutsford.

The first, three-month refurbishment phase involved the restoration of the Grade II-listed building and its original features, the relaunch of the bar and restaurant, a new look lobby and reception area and the creation of a garden room. Over the coming months, the hotel bedrooms will also be transformed.

Group executive chef Steven Tuke has transformed the restaurant menu, focusing on local producers and dishes include 12-hour cured salmon, English fillet of beef, cauliflower cheese risotto and Buttercross Farm pork steak.

Oliver Heywood, co-founder of Flat Cap Hotels said: "We always knew that the Bridge was a special hotel… We wanted to uncover the heritage of the building and at the same time invest in the hotel's future. We're excited to be unveiling the first phase of the investment."

Flat Cap Hotels was founded in 2015 by brothers Dominic and Oliver Heywood. The Vicarage in Holmes Chapel launched in 2015; the Courthouse in Knutsford in June 2017. All hotels are food-led destinations and have historical significance with a strong heritage.
